SPECIFICATIONS : Operating and storage temperature : - 20 ‘C to +100 ‘C , Display Temperature 0’C to +85’C Operating and storage life in excess of 10 years. Weight : 2.5 ounces Size : 1-7/8 x 1-7/8 x 1 inch Sensor Lead : 8-1/2 inches , Sensor will fit standard 7mm ignition wire. Water resistant to two Atmospheres or a depth of 68+ feet. Unit complies with : salt spray and fog per ( Mil-S 810D ), and shock/vibrator per ( Mil-S 167). Circuitry is protected against high voltage and static discharge. LCD display lapsed time to 19,999.9 hours, in tenths of an hour, with a 20,000 hour roll-over. Self –contained battery powered. No external power source required. Each Engine Hour Log comes with a custom serialized log book.
Installation : With the engine in the non-operating state, locate and loosen bolt ( usually on the water jacket side of the engine ), which is in close proximity to a high tension wire. Slide the mounting bracket under the bolt head and re-tighten to the engine manufacturer’s specification. Clip the sensor to any convenient location in the high tension ignition wire. With the hour log properly installed and the engine operating, the decimal point will blink one second interval and the digits to the right of the decimal point will increment every six minutes.
